| The History of the Mint Julep Band ... Continued |
The New “Mint Julep” |
|
Q: How did the new band get started?
A:
After many years of family life for me, (Mark) it was time to get back into the scene. I had still been writing songs over the years but was itching to play out again. I wanted to put the band together with a new sound and flavor. I met Bill Groskopf who played lead guitar. This guy was a phenomenal guitar player. I made a call to Tim Brown and he came onboard. All we needed now was a bass player. |
My son Joseph and my wife Danielle were helping us out playing bass while we were searching. We met Ray Lunn back in June. Ray has been helping us out in the bass department, while also playing in two other bands. As of mid September 07', we have found Buster Cornelius. Buster is a well known musician, and has added his awsome talent to the band. But due to his day job, had to move to Tampa in February 08'. Scouting once again the group has found Chuck Sikes. Chuck has also played around town for years and has brought his own style of bass along with some strong vocals to the group. "Now we are complete and ready to rock!" |
The band has proved
time and time again, after several packed out shows, that people want to
hear good Rock-Roll. So come out and rock with us "Mint Julep" style.
